This book is a result of 18 years of research by the author and countless number of years of research buy a large number of family researchers. The book is about the Robert Berry Family which consisted of 10 children who migrated from Virginia to North Carolina to many points west. A few of the children remained in North Carolina and several of the boys and their children migrated south and westward after their father died in 1814. Our Y-DNA project has a total of 14 participants of living descendants. There is a chapter in this book for each of the 10 children of Robert and Elizabeth Cate Berry who were married about 1757 and established a large plantation in Orange County, North Carolina, where many descendants still live today. While there might still be errors in this publication none of the information has been copied from any source without thorough research. The aim of this book is to provide a reliable resource for the future generations of our Robert Berry Family.

We are making this Second Edition available to downloaded as a Free PDF file because it is an ongoing project that is intended to improve the quality and accuracy of subsequent books. The more cousins we can reach, the more information we can add to the Third Edition of “ROBERT BERRY FAMILY TREE INDEX” which will be available at an undetermined date in the future. Any new cousin who finds that they are descended from this line of Berrys should feedback their known ancestral information on berrytree.org. This can be done on any page on our website. The cycle can be repeated as many times as necessary to create the most valuable reference available for future generations of our Berry family.
Any male Berry who would like to know if he is related to our Berry Family can find out by taking a simple saliva Y-DNA test. Since we already have 14 participants we have an excellent base to compare with. If you desire to take this test Click the Y-DNA project button located in the right panel.
