WILLIAM AARON TURLEY born August 26 1879 and died November 6, 1960 William Aaron Turley was the youngest child of Nathan and Mary J. Berry Turley. He was born on August 26th 1876 according to his tombstone, however on the 1880 census he is listed as six months old. Since he left home at an early age he may have added three years to his age. It is not known exactly where he wandered before he finally settled in Alabama about 1908. The picture on the right is of Nathaniel Arie (on the left) and William Aaron Turley On the (right).Nathaniel Aire Berry is Will’s brother.This Picture was taken in the early 1920’s. .We know that William lived both in Blount and Morgan Counties Alabama before he married Emma Allena Berry. Emma who is the daughter of Robert Riley and Martha “Mattie” Stark Berry. Will, as he was known in Alabama, and Emma Turley had four children. Melvin Ray Berry died at birth.

Mattie Gertrude Turley was the second child of Will and Emma. She Married J. B. Powell, Son of John David and Nancy Smith Powell. They had four Children, The oldest Melvin Ray died at birth, Lois, Hershal and Irene are still living
Mary J. Berry and Nathan Turley lived between Marietta and Roswell Georgia.
